February 10th, 2009 - Glaxal at SXSW

I’m excited to announce that Webthatmatters game design proposal ‘Glaxal’ is a semi-finalist for SXSW’s screenburn game design competition in the AAA category. With such short notice, I’m now frantically working on the finalist presentation for a chance to present to a panel of leading game developers.

Just a teaser about my concept, Glaxal is a persistent MMOG that will usher in the next generation of casual gaming. Built as a sci-fi resource control and simulation game, players compete against each other to build a galactic empire. Some of the core innovative features are ubiquitous play and involved social media aspects.
